Hi, I’m Jess.
With more than 15 years of clinical training and experience providing therapy to children, families, and individuals, I advocate for a balanced and compassionate approach to the practice of living a fulfilled life. I have provided counseling in a range of populations and multiple settings, from foster youth in LA County to crisis intervention with sexual assault survivors at the UCLA Rape Treatment Center. I received my undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University and attended graduate school at UCLA where I received my Masters in Social Welfare. Ive been a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California (LCS#27085) since 2011 and I completed my EMDR training in 2017.
In additional to my training & professional experience, I am a therapist who believes in therapy, myself recovered for 20+ years from bulimia and having done a vast array of personal work. I appreciate that life can be intensely challenging but also believe we can strengthen our ability to handle those challenges in healthy ways. I’m also a BDSm and kink-aware therapist, LGBTQ+-affirming, and enjoy working with people involved or interested in non-traditional/poly relationships. Regardless of why you may wish to see a therapist, whether you’d like to work together in Santa Monica or online, you can be assured that you will be provided a secure space to explore those issues without adding judgment or pathology to your relationships or identity.
