Individual Psychotherapy
If we don't have our mental health, including a good understanding of how and what we are, life can feel like a house built on quicksand. Our unconscious has a way of rearing its sneaky little head in a way that doesn’t always help us live our best life. Sometimes we are consciously aware of what's going on, but more often than not there are sneaky saboteurs, childhood wounds, or traumas that are keeping us stuck in one or more areas of our lives - relationships, work, food & body.
If you've been secretly struggling or if you feel like you've become a broken record with your friends, it might be time to start exploring what's going on with someone neutral and ready to listen.
Here are some things that clients come to me for:
Anxiety
Depression
Stress Reduction
Grief and Loss
Childhood and Relational Trauma
Sexual trauma/abuse
Relationship issues
Breakups
Emotional Eating
Imposter Syndrome
Non traditional relationships / Poly / Kink / BDSm
A word about “advice” in therapy…
Sometimes clients come in for therapy hoping I can “fix” them somehow. But my role as a therapist is not to tell you what to do and certainly not “fix”. It’s rarely effective in the long term, not to mention, your innate capacity to heal and untapped resources are already within you! My role is to understand, to challenge, to point out what I see, and to draw out the possibilities based on what you want in your life.
